Teodoro Gregorio Perez was part of the team of great luthiers at the workshop of Jose Ramirez in the 1960s, where he worked for twenty-six years. A highly successful partnership with Mariano Tezanos followed, after which the two luthiers went their separate ways. The workmanship on Teodoro's instruments is outstanding, and their tone is characteristic of the best work of the Madrid luthiers.

This guitar is a beautiful example. It has a rich, profound tone with singing trebles and great depth. The detail in the tonal palette is characteristically refined and has a very wide range. The volume of the instrument is most impressive, possibly augmented by the choice of top-quality Brazilian Rosewood.

It exhibits Teodoro's typically meticulous attention to detail, evident in its construction, in the choice of wonderful tonewoods, in the tasteful and carefully-crafted rosette and purfling, and in the neat french-polished finish.

A beautiful guitar, and a first-rate professional-level musician's instrument.
